How the NAECA Government Changes Affect Your Water Heaters

The National Appliance Energy Conservation Act (NAECA) is a U.S. Government Act that regulates energy consumption of certain household appliances. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has been enforcing manufacturers of residential water heaters to comply with NAECA regulations since 1990. On April 16, 2015 the U.S. Department of Energy will introduce a new set of compliance standards for water heaters.
