Congratulations to the 2024 Ride TO Decide Graduates

We are thrilled to congratulate this year’s Ride TO Decide internship program graduates. Over the span of three weeks, these dedicated individuals have immersed themselves in the HVAC and plumbing trades, gaining invaluable real-world experience. Their hard work and enthusiasm have truly paid off, and we couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments.

What is the Ride TO Decide Program?

The Ride TO Decide program is Atlas Butler’s hands-on internship initiative targeting high school students. It provides aspiring HVAC and plumbing professionals with real-world experience by bridging the gap between classroom learning and actual trade work by immersing interns in a dynamic work environment. Over three intensive weeks, participants work alongside seasoned professionals, gaining practical skills and insights into the industry.

A Journey of Learning and Growth

The core of the Ride TO Decide program is experiential learning. Interns are not confined to classrooms; they spend their days in the field, tackling real-world challenges. This approach ensures that participants gain practical knowledge and develop a deep understanding of the HVAC and plumbing trades.

Reilly H., one of our recent graduates, shared how the experience of working with tools and interacting with customers has been life-changing. He believes this hands-on approach ensures our interns effectively apply their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios.

Jacob M. praised the mentorship within our program, appreciating the experienced professionals who guide the interns. He emphasized, "The mentors are fantastic, and the hands-on experience in the trades goes beyond classroom learning."

Evan L. enjoyed the practical aspects of the internship, noting that driving around with the team and experiencing real-world tasks was crucial to his learning. This immersion helps interns grasp the dynamics of the trade job environment.

Antonio W. valued the variety of experiences the program offered. He mentioned, "Working with everyone was great, and I got to try out a wide range of tasks." This diverse exposure ensures our interns are well-rounded and ready for various challenges in the field.

Owen C. emphasized the importance of customer interaction, stating, "Learning to interact with customers and gaining insights from all my mentors were highlights of my internship." Developing this skill is essential for building trust and client satisfaction.

Timothy G. found it beneficial to observe different working styles, adding, "I got hands-on experience and saw how each person works differently." This exposure to diverse approaches enhances problem-solving skills and adaptability.

The Power of Hands-On Learning

This program is not just about learning technical skills; it's about building confidence, fostering teamwork, and understanding the importance of customer service in the trades. Our graduates have shown remarkable growth in a short period, thanks to the guidance of our experienced mentors and the diverse experiences they encountered.
